The Web's latest and greatest deals...
The Internet's best sites, tips and tools!
_________In this Issue:_________________________________________
Hello again from iMarvel.com! It's exciting times around here:
on January 2 we expect to launch the full version of 10Money.com,
"The Fastest Way To Corral The Mostest Money". Spend a few hours
at this site, and you'll be able to lasso thousands of additional
dollars over your lifetime.
The highlights of this week's issue:
Finance Tips: Savings on electricity, how to get a flu shot.
Consumer Tips: Quick gifts at GiftCertificates.com, funny gifts
at GiftCrap.com.
Freebies: $100 for switching long distance service, a free
iMac computer, and free software for Macs & IBMs.
ToysRUs.com says it's unable to deliver orders in time for
Christmas, as they promised. If that happened to you, you might
try GiftCertificates.com for a quick replacement gift.
In general, it's better to buy at web-only stores without a
"bricks-and-mortar" retail chain. You'll usually be able to
avoid sales taxes this way. Web-only sites are generally more
competent: they have to be better, because their livelihood
depends on online sales. Web-only stores have also had more time
to develop and improve their sites. Amazon.com has had no
problem fulfilling orders, despite their hectic Christmas season.
North Carolina and Michigan have added lines to their state
income-tax forms, asking residents to pay the 6% sales tax on
out-of-state purchases (including online purchases.) Actually,
all of who live in sales-tax states are already supposed to be
paying the sales tax, it's just that nobody pays because it's
practically unenforceable. So these two states aren't actually
going to enforce their tax request, they're just relying on the
"honor system". Hmmph.
